Top tier racing is hard. And expensive. And in order for a team to stay competitive, it requires that they employ some of the most incredible engineers on earth. Formula One racing is, arguably, where some of the planet’s most amazing engineering minds show their chops in the never ending quest for victory (which is sometimes decided by tenths of a second).

Add another zero to that number and that's a a question I hope I need to answer one day. But today is not that day.

For most Canadians, especially young ones, looking for wheels under $10,000 is a reality. Heck, my first car cost me $1,500 and my second (and third) barely crested $5,000.

Hyundai Canada is currently offering the Accent for $9,999.

So would you go for a brand spanking new Accent or get something used?

In Ottawa yesterday, executives from Toyota Canada apologized to the Canadian public, answered challenging questions from the Canadian Government. These questions were regarding the recent sticking accelerator pedal recall that affected 270,000 vehicles in Canada.

The Kia Forte Koup is a great little car, (we would know, we just spent a week with one, review coming soon!) and apparently, it's a sales hit with the younger demographic. It's not hard to see why; it looks fantastic, starts at under $20,000 and is available with a 173 hp 2.4 liter engine.

In a move that's sure to put even bigger smiles on said younger demographic, Kia has announced the Forte Koup SX-R that piles on the accessories, making an already attractive little coupe even more head-turning and even a little faster!

Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Another "Best Ever" list. I'm sure many of you can even guess some of the cars on the list. Let's see, Chevrolet Corvette, BMW M3, Mercedes-Benz 300SL, Ferrari Enzo, McLaren F1, AC Shelby Cobra, and the <s>lust</s> list goes on.

Wired Magazine has put together a list of "The 10 Damn Near Perfect Cars." You won't find the typical cars on this list (okay, not as many of them).

What do I mean by that? When was the last time you saw a GM EV1 on such a list? Yeah, these aren't your typical car guys.

Check out the complete list after the jump.

Like many of the contributors to AutoNorth, I am also a big fan of wagons. One of my favorite wagons in the past has been the slow selling Lexus IS 300 Sport Cross. When Lexus introduced the current generation IS series in 2006 the Sport Cross wagon was dropped, due to slow sales.

Rumours have it that the IS Sport Cross might be making a comeback. Click through to find out more.

Almost one year ago to the day we told you about BMW Canada's 3 Series Comparison Drive Event (link) which was a 2 hour event where you and a friend could experience a mix of 3-series models in a variety of controlled exercises.

BMW Canada also had a Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4 on hand for anyone who wanted to put them through the same exercises. I went to a session last year and it was a blast.

Now BMW Canada is inviting you and a friend to their "Innovation Drive" event where you'll get to drive a mix of BMW models and learn about some of BMW's latest technology. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

So what do you get to drive?
