Back in October AutoNorth's Chuck Reimer let us all know that the Acura TSX Sport Wagon was given the green light for The United States (link).

Unfortunately, there was no official word that the TSX Sport Wagon was making it's way north of the 49th parallel. Until earlier this week.

The Corvette Z06 is a formidable track car. The ZR1 is a monster in Corvette clothing. Now in between the two is the Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of Corvette's first race in the 24 Hours of LeMans.

Only 500 examples will be built in either Inferno Orange or Supersonic Blue, which makes it an instant collector's Corvette.

So what makes this car better than a Z06?

With competition more intense than ever, there are no bad cars. Or is that just BS? The Mechanic, a contributor to Edmunds Inside Line and former automotive journalist and magazine editor who may or may not be a distant relative of The Stig, thinks there are plenty of terrible vehicles on the road today. 24 to be exact.

So the question is, do you agree with his list?

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Dickens might have been talking about Toyota (at least in Canada). Well let's put this in the "Best of times" column.

The Canadian Black Book has released their fifth annual Best Retained Value Awards. The awards are determined from actual value retained from MSRP, measured over a 4 year period. As such, the vehicles on the list are 2006 model year cars and trucks and Toyota has more vehicles on the list than any other manufacturer.

But Toyota wasn't the only winner.

If you ask people what their favorite supercar brand is, usually they will reply either saying Ferrari or Lamborghini. Ask me what my favorite supercar brand is, I will respond not with the typical Ferrari or Lamborghini, but with the Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg.

Last week Koenigsegg unveiled their latest creation at the Geneva Auto Show, called the Agera.

Toyota Canada is smartly turning to social media in dealing with the unintended acceleration recall issues they've faced over the last few weeks.

They've posted a sticky pedal repair video (English and French) and a brake override video (again, in English and French) on YouTube.

The marketing folks kept their paws off these so they're direct and to the point.

General Motors Co. has appointed Kevin Williams as the new president of General Motors of Canada Ltd.

Williams, who had been responsible for the auto maker's parts and service operations, will replace Arturo Elias, who will move to a position in GM's public policy centre. Mr. Elias had been president of GM Canada since the middle of 2006.

So what exactly is a "Bug Push"? Well, it involves roughly 30 Ryerson University engineering students pushing an 800-pound vintage Volkswagen Beetle for 24 consecutive hours on campus. So why are these students subjecting themselves to this king of torture?

Recently I wrote that Chrysler Canada enjoyed a 20 per cent sales increase in January, and that they had also secured the number 2 ranking in sales by an Automaker here in Canada. Today it’s been reported that the momentum continues … the Chrysler group has posted a sales increase of 17% for February, and they’ve retained their position as Canada’s number 2 selling Automaker.

Total sales of 14,045 new vehicles were recorded, as compared with a total of 12,015 for February of 2009. The total sales increase is notable, but perhaps even more telling is the increase at the retail level, at a total of 23 per cent - an indicator of very strong showroom traffic.
