Unser returns to Mosport

As the summer gets close to an end (sorry kids), there is still one weekend to look forward to; the American Le Mans Series returning to Mosport, August 26-29.

Every year, race fans camp out in the cruel and horrible unpredictable Durham Region weather to enjoy the Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport, and with Bobby Unser acting as this year’s Grand Marshal, there is even more reason to head to the races.

As part of the celebratory weekend, Bobby Unser will not only be overseeing the festivities, but will also be signing autographs. Unser, who won his first IndyCar race at Mosport in 1967, is happy to return to the track and help celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Also during the weekend, Mosport will be celebrating great Canadian drivers of the past. Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame Alumni, including Bill Brack, Eppie Wietzes, Ross de St. Croix and many others will be on hand to answer questions and sign autographs. A collection of historic race cars will also be on hand.

With great racing on track, and great events off track, this year’s Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport will surely be one to remember.
