Euro Honda Accord Tourer coming as Acura TSX sport wagon!

It seems as though the wagon, in whichever iteration you prefer it, (wagon, sport wagon, avante, estate, tourer, sportcross, sport-combi, etc.) has largely been shunned in North America by all but the most practical of people...and us automotive enthusiasts.

For whatever reason, we seem to be drawn to it while everyone else won't touch it with a ten-foot pole, and to that I say, for shame! A wagon is a terrible thing to waste. Well I guess it's a good thing that mostly everyone reading this is an automotive enthusiast, because we have word straight from the horse's mouth (read: Honda) that they will be introducing a sport wagon version of the TSX! That's very exciting news, at least for a die-hard wagon fan like myself.

Acura announced today the addition of a TSX sport wagon to its 2011 vehicle lineup. Arriving at Acura dealerships in the Fall of 2010, the TSX sport wagon will be based on the popular TSX sports sedan, which features balanced performance, advanced technology and bold styling. Too bad they'll stick the ugly Acura "plenum" aka "beak" on this instead of the classic euro grille on the abobe image. Nice blue color too.

This is awesome news! I owned a 94 Honda Accord Wagon and recently sold it. I can't get used to the minivan I have now. I'm glad this is coming to North America.

PS. I hope it comes down to the US or I might have to plan a one way trip to Canada.
