"No God" ads to hit TTC buses and subway

"There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life."

This is the ad Torontonians will start seeing everywhere as they ride the TTC into and around Toronto. This is part of a controversial ad campaign by the Toronto-based Freethought Association of Canada, which was approved by the TTC late last night to appear on buses and inside subway cars.

As one would expect, the ads are sparking some heated debate. Charles McVety, president of the Canada Christian College in Toronto, calls them out-and-out attack ads. The evangelical leader said he hasn't decided whether the group he heads up, the Canada Family Action Coalition, will formally complain about them once they start appearing on the transit vehicles.

The ads were used in a similar campaign in Britain recently and they've also adorned buses in Spain. So what are your thoughts on all of this? How would seeing an ad like that make you feel? Let us know.

Nobody can stop these ads in Canada. It's called freedom of expression. It's not hate speech. Nobody would object if the ads read "Believe in Christ that can save you and give meaning to your life". Faith is believing without proof. There is no proof of the existence or non-existence of god(s).

I think religious groups should post a counter-ad saying "What if there is God, and you will be judged?"
