2008 Subaru Impreza scores well in crash test

Subaru2.5iWagon08.jpgThe recently introduced 2008 Subaru Impreza has received an overall "Good" rating in a 40-mph frontal offset crash test, conducted by the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The test was conducted using a 2008 Impreza 2.5i wagon model.

According to the IIHS report, "Dummy movement was well controlled. After the dummy moved forward into the airbag, it rebounded into the seat without its head coming close to any stiff structure that could cause injury. Measures taken from the dummy indicate a low risk of any significant injuries in a crash of this severity."
