Chevy Camaro to begin production in February 2009

Chevrolet_Camaro_Convertible_2009_1.jpgAccording to Left Lane News, production of the new Camaro will begin on February 16, 2009 at GM’s Oshawa plant in Ontario. If you’re lucky enough to get one, expect to be able to pick up your new car sometime in the following month.

GM executives have already said that production of some Camaros would begin in late 2008, but most of those would be for engineers and executives to make any last minute changes before production hits full speed in '09.

The other production date they found is for the Camaro convertible, which is expected to begin its production journey on December 7, 2009. Keep in mind these dates have not been confirmed by GM but according to the source for Left Lane News they are the real deal.
